The list I’m playing right now at the couples tournament has two Devastators. I think it has amazing potential against all kinds of enemies, and would love not only to play more with this jack but also against as many factions as I can. It has a lot of psychological weight while on the table and it makes the opponents think a lot about it when placed correctly. Add to that most people forget about the Rain of Death attack.

No reason not to field 2 Devastators at 25 points. Right?

In other news, I think I’m starting with Anima Tactics. I got the Black Sun starter (just TOO gorgeous) and so far the rules seem extremely fun and very unlike Warmahordes (unlike Dark Age, the other “other” game that was under my radar).

 

Big (-gest?) armor.

Yeah, with ARM 25, bulldoze, and an auto hit POW 18 to btb models the Devastator is both a straightforward model but also sneaky on its use. Most people see it on the table a think of a big rock half the time is not even worth trying to take down. That’s when it really shines in my opinion. Some think the opponent will spend a lot of resources to take him down, but this doesn’t happen in the early game. It’s only when this beast is hugging an objective that they realize the potential. And yes please, send some hard hitting high DEF infantry my way. Payback is a bitch with this guy.
