Yes! You were waiting for this! Another fun, easy command figure conversion using the minimum materials and no strange tools. In this case, the conversion was made out of need more than pleasure. You see, in The Return of the King box I got, there were 2 broken figures. One was fixed, because the broken piece was laying in the box. There was an orc archer however that was missing his bow arm, and it was nowhere to be found! I decided to turn him into something else.
I went to my bitz and sprues drawer and found a few sprues that never let me down. One is the marvelous Mordheim sprue. The other, a chaos barbarians leftover sprue from Warhammer Fantasy. In that sprue I found an amazing flag which would look really good for an orc banner. However, I would be needing to add a weapon to the orc, so I decided to replace the whole arm. You see, I was going to use a Mordheim arm for the standard, and since those arms were so heavily armored, I decided I’d give the orc a similar right arm with a brutally enough looking weapon.
As I was looking through the Mordheim sprue, I saw a nice fur cloak. I thought it would be an extremely easy and fast way to add a captain to the orcs by attaching that. Looked through them and found one orc wearing enough furs to make the cloak look natural on him. All I needed was a pole for the flag, and got a Japanese lance I had in a box somewhere. Now I had all my tools and was ready for some “zero skill” modeling.
First step was to drill the arm holding the pole. Then, adding the pole to the flag. Straight and simple.
Simple y directo.
Now I removed the orc archer’s right arm, and attached the new arms on him. The big sleeves the mini has are perfect joints to glue and paint, leaving no trace of the joint without need for putty.
You guessed the next step. Just put the complete banner through the left hand and voilá, and orc banner bearer. The flag is big, so you can use him and an army banner in your War of the Rings games if you make other flags a bit smaller.
Now the captain is of course an extremely easy affair. Just attach the cloak to the figure, making it look somewhat natural and you’re done. This figure in particular is walking fast so I let the cloak flow just a bit (must be pretty heavy anyway).
Done. Two personalized command figures ready for the battlefield, done with basic tools and no crazy materials. I understand you probably won’t have the exact same leftover sprues as me. But that doesn’t mean a thing. Just get your preferred plastic model (or like in my case, the one who needs the “operation”), search through your bits and pieces, and bring some unique models to your collection.
Hecho.

Yesterday, while I was at work, my sister stole my iPad
and tested to see if it can survive a 40 foot drop, just so she can be a youtube sensation.
My iPad is now broken and she has 83 views. I know this is entirely off topic
but I had to share it with someone!

getting my ideas out there. I truly do take pleasure in writing however it just seems like
the first 10 to 15 minutes are generally wasted simply just trying to figure out how
to begin. Any recommendations or tips? Thank you!

With havin so much written content do you ever run into any
issues of plagorism or copyright infringement?
My site has a lot of completely unique content I’ve either authored myself or outsourced but
it looks like a lot of it is popping it up all over the
internet without my permission. Do you know any
solutions to help stop content from being stolen? I’d
genuinely appreciate it.

I was curious if you ever considered changing the
page layout of your site? Its very well written; I love what youve got

way of content so people could connect with it better.
Youve got an awful lot of text for only having
1 or 2 pictures. Maybe you could space it out better?
